I am a Bankruptcy Lawyer, and I created this site to give people the straight scoop. It is called "Bankrtupcy Strategy" because I think it is important to be strategic about the use of bankruptcy relief. A friend of mine who is a financial planner calls bankruptcy "the most underutilized financial planning tool" in the world. And he's right. There are some situations where it makes sense to file. People strategize about minimizing their taxes all the time, but for some reason people feel that "bankruptcy planning" is somehow a bad idea.
